Today is the day

The pain is almost over, just a few more hours until the premiere of the ninth and final season of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, to say that it is one of the best shows ever is an understatement. I mean, it does have episodes that are not as strong as the other, but I think every single show has one of those filler episodes were you don’t really know why the hell they filmed it.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, HERE COME THE SPOILERS.

After almost 5 months of waiting, after revealing who the mother was in last season’s finale, we get see how the mother is introduced to Ted in Robin and Barney’s wedding.
It was such a relief to finale put a face to the owner of the yellow umbrella. She was actually the original owner of the umbrella, but in a party in the episode No Tomorrow, who Ted also happened to attend, Ted was about to leave, but since it was raining, he grabbed the umbrella and left, basically he stole it.
In the episode Girl Versus Suits, Ted goes to his ex-girlfriend Cindy’s apartment and he brings that yellow umbrella, but he forgets it and the mother, who happens to be Cindy’s roommate, then finds it.

I absolutely love how Ted tells the story, and I love how he always has situations in where he nearly meets the mother. One of the things that we know is that Ted’s friends, Barney, Lily, Robin and Marshall, meet the mother before Ted.

Just a couple more hours till the premiere. And after that it’s the premiere of the 3rd season of 2 broke girls. This is without doubt the best Monday ever!

Emmys Fashion Countdown

Award shows,
What would a designer do without them?

Yes, they do advertise their labels in Fashion Weeks, but truth is, not many people have the time of the day to watch a full fashion show, and it would be a lot better to see the dresses in a more familiar face than just a model's face.
The emmys are TV's biggest night, and also one of my favorites for fashion.
These are some of my favorite fashion moments:

Nina Dobrev:

2011; she wore this absolutely stunning in this Donna Karan dress.

2010: A year before she wore this flawless Zuhair Murad dress, head to toe perfection.

Blake Lively:

2009: Blake looks absolutely fearless in this red Valentino gown. The detail of the dress is stunning and the skirt flaws beautifully.

Alison Williams

2012: Last year the Girls turned head with this emerald green Oscar de la Renta dress. I love the detail of the neckline, it looks flirty and elegant.

Claire Danes:

2009: The Homeland actress looks gorgeous in this Armani Prive gown.

Hayden Penettiere:

2012: In last years awards the Nashville looked like a greecian goddes in this Marchesa gown, and the blue chiffon made the gold details in the dress stand out more.

Jennifer Aniston:

2004: The Friends actress looked stunning in this hippie inspired Channel gown, the color looks fabulous with her skin tone.

Cat Deely:

2010: The So you think you can dance host stuns in this white gown with gold details from Monique Lhullier.

Jennifer Garner:

2004: The actress looks perfect from head to toe in this white Oscar de la Renta gown, the skirt's detail is absolutely beautiful.

Rose Byrne:

2009: Rose looks like a princess in this Valentino gown, and come one, who wouldn't want to look like a princess at least for a day?

Olivia Wilde:

2009: This Marchesa is absolutely breath-taking, the details that it has in the skirt make ker look like a goddess. The make up and hair are flawless.

Drew Barrimore:

2009: The actress looks pretty in pink in this Monique Lhullier gown that makes ker look like a princess. She has really soft make up, and the hair makes her look effortlessly beautiful.

Kristin Davis:

2004: Its obvious that if you are in such a fashionable show as Sex and the city you are going to wear a beautiful gown, and Kristin Davis did just that in this Little Black Dress by Prada. The metallic necklace and purse stand-out against the black fabric.

How can there be a best dress list without one of the most fashionable woman ever alive?

Obviously...

Sarah Jessica Parker:

This doesnt even need a description

2003: Channel

2004: Chanel

That's just my opinion, you may hate some of these dresses, or you may love them, or you may be mad that i didn't include other dresses, like that Sofia Vergara one.
Just a little more time left to see what are the stars wearing, and perhaps there will be more dresses in my favorite Emmy dresses.

Emmys

FINALLY!

The Emmys are this Sunday. The biggest night in television is almost here.
I seriously can't wait because one of my favorite actors is hosting it, Neil Patrick (wait for it) Harris! And How I Met Your Mother is one of my favorite shows ever! Just a couple more days till September 23rd! FINAL SEASON
I can't also wait because Elton John is performing ❤
He is one of my all time favorite artists

I don't know who will win... But I can guess:

WARNING! SOME OF THE CHOICES MAY BE BIASED DUE TO ME NOT WATCHING MANY OF THIS SERIES

Lead actress in a drama series:

Vera Farmiga, Bates Motel, A&E

Why? Just because I absolutely love Bates Motel, and I haven't seen any of the other shows

(I think that the person that is going to win this is Claire Daines, but one can oy wish)

Lead actor in a drama series:

So, I don't watch any of this shows, so I'm just going to judge them by its name..

Hugh Bonneville, Downton Abbey, PBS

Why? Because.... I don't really know

Drama series:

HomelandShowtime

Just because it always wins, I think so...?

Supporting actor in a drama series:

Mandy PatinkinHomelandShowtime

Why? Because I had a friend that moved away and we called him Mandy

Supporting actress in a drama series:

Christina Hendricks, Mad MenAMC

BECAUSE SHE IS GORGEOUS

As you can tell from that, I don't really know a lot about the drama category of television. But moving on;

COMEDY SERIES!

I hope that 30 rock wins, because I love Tina Fey, but I think Girls is going to win

Lead actor in a comedy series:

Jim Parsons, Big Bang Theory, CBS

I haven't seen the Big Bang theory in quite some time, but I remember that he was hilarious.

Lead actress in a comedy series:

Lena Dunham, Girls, HBO

I mean, come on, does this even need an explanation?

Supporting actor in a comedy series:

Bill Hader, Saturday Night Live, NBC

Obviously I would love it if Stefon won, he is so fabulous, and I adored him in in last seasons final episode! ❤

I mean, come on, how can he not win

Supporting actress in a comedy series:

Jane Lynch, Glee, Fox

I adore her character, it is so confident and driven, even if her goal is evil! But she is hilarious

By this time I was almost falling asleep and I believed that I covered the most important categories, at least for me, but yep, that's what I believe.

So on Sunday night I will be glued to the tv for about three hours, wishing that is was there and crying due to the fact that I'm not Nina Dobrev, maybe you will get drunk due to the fact that your nominee choice lost, or you will be happy because the nominee that you hated didn't win.

So with this I finish this, rather boring? Entertaining? Weird? Blog

Roman Holiday

So, last Sunday night I was pretty bored and I didn't know what to do, so I started looking for Audrey Hepburn (ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER)

(IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO THAT PRETTY?!?!?)
When I was looking thru movies I came across this movie called roman holiday.
Personally it was one of the best movies that I have ever seen in my life, it's really beautiful.
¸  I'm not one to spoil a movie so I will just tell you brief things.
¸  It stars Gregory Peck as a reporter, and Audrey as a princess
¸  It was filmed entirely in Rome ❤
¸  It got 98% in rotten tomatoes, which is 5 stars
¸  Audrey Hepburn won an academy award for best leading actress for her role

I seriously recommend this movie.⭐⭐⭐
So go ahead and watch it
Make some pop-corn
Grab a fruity drink
Put on some pj's
And cry due to the fact that you are, probably, never going to meet a man like that.
Just kidding

But seriously, WATCH IT

A Delicious And Healthier Way Of Living

So, this is a project that I had been working on for my English class, and I got a 19 for it, maybe you could be the judge of that. So here it is…

“I’m a level 5 vegan—I don’t eat anything that casts a shadow.” –Character on The Simpsons

Should I go vegetarian?
You may or may not have asked that question to yourself, and if you haven't aked that question to youself, then you have maybe wondered how a person could live without meat.
According to an article in vegetariantimes.com, scientific research demonstrates that there are benefits of a plant based diet, and that 70 percent of all diseases, including one third of all cancers, such as colon, breast, prostate, stomach, lung and esophageal, are related to diet. A plant based diet also stops obesity, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
Maybe the main reason why you don’t want to go vegetarian is because you think that you are only going to eat plants all day long, but there are different types of vegetarian diets, and you can choose the one that fits the most with you.
The different types of vegetarian diets/types are:

Pescatarian:

The pescatarian diet is one that shares many components of the lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, but also includes fish and shellfish. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it as: “one whose diet includes fish but not other meat”. The pescatarian diet is usually a step on the way to becoming vegetarian. Some notable pescatarian are: Ben Stiller, Howard Stern, Grace Helbig, Ariana Grande and Johnny Galecki.
*This is not considered to be a type of vegetarian by the Vegetarian society

Vegatarian:

Maybe this is the most well-known plant based diet. When you think about someone who is vegetarian you think of someone who is Lacto-Ovo vegetarian. This is a person that doesn’t eat beef, pork, or any animal flesh, but that person does eat eggs or dairy products. Lacto-vegetarian stands for a person who doesn't eat eggs, but eats dairy products. Ovo- vegetarian a person who doesn't  eat meat or dairy products, but do eat eggs. Notable vegetarians include Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Natalie Portman and Justin Timberlake.

Vegan:

Raw Vegan/Raw food diet:

A raw vegan is made up by unprocessed vegan food that is not cooked above 46° Celsius. The reason behind this is that raw vegans believe that any food cooked above this temperature looses most of their nutrients and that food is harmful for the body.
Famous people that are raw vegans include Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Cher and Pierce Brosnan.

         Macrobiotic:
A macrobiotic diet includes unprocessed vegan foods, for example, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and sometimes fish, it avoids highly processed food, and most animal products. People choose this type of diet due to its healthy and healing qualities, and it has an emphasis in Asian vegetables, and sea vegetables.
I found this diet quite intriguing and I searched for a diet and found this one in http://www.bodyandsoul.com.au ;

 Making a macrobiotic meal
| Up to 60 per cent of your main meal should be wholegrains such as brown rice, barley, millet or rye.
| Up to 30 per cent of your meal should be vegetables and about one-third of those can be raw.
| Use tofu, or tempeh, to make up 10 per cent of your meals and sea vegetables such as wakame to make up about five per cent of your diet.
| If you are physically active you can eat a small amount of seafood, with horseradish, wasabi or ginger several times a week. But avoid meat, poultry, eggs and dairy.
| You can eat seeds and nuts in moderation.
| Eat a bowl of miso soup every day, perhaps before your main dish.
| Cook with light sesame oil, corn oil and mustard seed oil and steam or stir-fry. Never use a microwave.
| Condiments and seasonings include natural sea salt, shoyu (Japanese soy sauce), brown rice vinegar, umeboshi vinegar, umeboshi plums, grated ginger root, fermented pickles, gomashio (roasted sesame seeds), roasted seaweed and sliced scallions (spring onions)
*  Tofu: A food made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. It is a component in many East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines.” Wikipedia
TempehA traditional soy product that is originally from Indonesia. It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans into a cake form, similar to a very firm vegetarian burger patty. Wikipedia

There are a lot of delicious recipes, these are some of my favorites:

Maybe now that you know the different types of diets you may consider having a plant based diet, doesn't matter if its either vegan, vegetarian, or any of the others. The only thing that I would like to recomend to you is that you choose the one that adapts better to your lifestyle and that is the best for your health. My recomendation is that you can start by having a meatless day, see how it goes from there, and if you can survive, then try to do it at least once a week, and maybe, make a lifestyle without meat.
